WATCH. We had a glamorous night at an exclusive HBO Latino dinner event to celebrate the sexy second season of El Negoci├│. The room was full of shakers and movers, and we do mean literally with Million Dollar Listing NY star Luis Ortiz and Gotham‘s JW Cort├⌐s in tow. The night’s host Perez Hilton asked us our secrets to being your best professional self. Of course we suggested a little lip gloss, a great hairstyle and a flattering outfit helps you feel beautiful and confident inside and out. We dined on filet mignon and Chilean sea bass, drank Mo├½t champagne and munched on chocolate-covered strawberries before heading home with a divine gift box courtesy the network. After a night like this, we can’t wait for the premiere of season three! El Negoci├│, season two, premieres tonight, Friday July 10 at 10 p.m. on HBO Latino.
WATCH TWO. Evelyn Lozada has come a long way since her first appearance on Basketball Wives. She lived through on-set drama that only a true reality show can offer and survived a┬ádisastrous┬ámarriage that ended quickly after a case of domestic abuse. She endured the camera’s awkward glare as she allowed Iyanla Vanzant to Fix Her Life. After a two-year hiatus from TV she returns — this time on her own terms — to tell her story, alongside ther gorgeous 21-year-old old daughter Shaneice. “This was a little harder,” confesses Evelyn of doing a reality show specifically about her. “When you’re filming a show about you and your life, it takes a lot of time and energy.” but Evelyn loves that the world will get to see her and her daughter’s funny life moments. “We have a good balance; it’s good. We’re very close.” America loves a comeback, so stay tuned and see what it’s like to be Livin’ Lazada, premiering Saturday, July 11 at 9 p.m. on OWN.
WATCH THREE. Remember the 2000s (they weren’t that long ago!). The DivaGals descended upon NGC’s private screening of their two-part mini-series event: the 2000s, A New Reality, to take a not-so-distance stroll down America’s history lane. Bold and flagrant, the docu-special seizes the moment as it explores the millennium decade’s biggest hits, which include the rescue of Elian Gonzalez (and how it may have cost one political party the presidential election); the birth of the iPhone and of course, Hurricane Katrina. Reflecting on stories that made us laugh, cheer, cry, cringe, shake our heads “ah hell no!” and maybe even blow out smoke after it’s all said and done, we quickly realized the course the revolution must be televised. the 2000s, A New Reality, begins Sunday, July 12 at 9 p.m. on National Geographic Channel.
SEE. In the new movie Self/less Ryan Reynolds stars as the young and buffed vessel Sir Ben Kingsley places his essence in, only to learn that the former inhabitant still lingers. At an AOL Build conversation earlier this week, Ryan revealed that while he is incredibly grateful to have the life he lives and doesn’t take one minute of it for granted, he couldn’t wait to get home to his beautiful 6-month-old baby girl. “I’ll get three months off, and those three months used to drive me insane when I was a young buck and single ΓǪ now I just want to be with my daughter.” After wrapping his next feature, the gory comic Deadpool, “I still had chunks of glue from the scar makeup on my face, and I was boarding a plane to Bangkok so I could get to my wife and baby. I’ll do anything to be with her,”┬á he candidly shared. Do we even need to tell you that Ryan’s earned his stripes into White Boys We Dig? Self/less now playing in theaters (and Derek Luke also stars!). Watch the trailer below!
