BLAQAPP and LAYERUP! honored “hidden gems” in the BIPOC community to raise global awareness around issues that impact Black and brown citizens, including the Crown Act. They also highlighted the Luisa Diaz Foundation for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the fight to end such abuse.

GLA Global Gala
The Global Lyme Alliance (GLA), the leading nonprofit dedicated to conquering Lyme and other tick-borne diseases, held its annual GLA Global Gala for 2022 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The event, which raises Lyme disease awareness and funds for research to improve diagnostics and treatments and ultimately find a cure for Lyme and other tick-borne diseases, raised more than $1.85 million to advance GLA’s mission to conquer Lyme.

True Indian Hair, a luxury brand of hair extensions and wigs, partnered with Pynk magazine and Milk Makeup to honor breast cancer survivors at the “Pretty, Powerful, And Provocative Evening Soiree” dinner at The Mezzanine.
