You know a DivaGal will travel for good hair. ThatΓÇÖs how TV DivaGal found herself on a train to Bridgeport, Conn. To meet Danielle Gill, owner of Posh Beauty Bar.

Upon entering Posh, the first thing you notice is the d├⌐cor, white walls and furnishings accented by shades of purple. ΓÇ£I wanted it bright, but elegant. Purple is royalty, and when I pulled it in with my white, I loved it,” Danielle shared.

There are no histrionics up in this place; itΓÇÖs truly a serene scene as one of DanielleΓÇÖs lovely summer interns, high school students Shayla, Joii and Tae — who are all already committing to their love of hair ΓÇô greet you and offer a glass of water or wine. There are three styling stations, and Danielle is building a private service room. ΓÇ£It will be for clients who are going through hair issues. I want the service s to feel a little bit more exclusive and personal,” she revealed. “I want everyone to feel that they get VIP treatment.ΓÇ¥

I was a tad bit embarrassed when I arrived since my new weave hair was below par. From one glance, Danielle could see that it wasnΓÇÖt ΓÇ£top of the lineΓÇ¥ hair, but was still determined to work it in her magic hands. ΓÇ£DonΓÇÖt worry,ΓÇ¥ she said soothingly. ΓÇ£IΓÇÖm going to make this right.ΓÇ¥

Indeed, Danielle is serious about making you the best version of yourself. She asks you to fill out an extensive consultation sheet about your hair in its present state ΓÇô and where you want to take it. This is not the time to fudge on your answers. As Danielle says herself, she specializes in hair restoration ΓÇô whether itΓÇÖs getting your hair healthy again with proper treatments or creating a custom wig.

As she applied my color, Rusk 8G, Danielle admitted that as a child, she really wasnΓÇÖt interested in hair. Reluctantly she attended technical school for the trade as a teen. But by tenth grade, after dabbling in the profession, ΓÇ£I realized I was good at it,ΓÇ¥ Danielle declared. At 18, she was offered half a barber shop to run her beauty services, and has been running her own salons ever since.

DanielleΓÇÖs team then deep conditioned my hair for 30 minutes before revealing the endsΓÇÖ lovely new caramel color, so pretty!

Posh Beauty Bar offer all full selection of hair and extension services, which includes quick weaves, full sew-ins and wig construction, as well as eyelash work. The salon may be called Posh, but the prices are thoroughly reasonable, with full weaves ranging in the $160 range and wig construction starting at $150 (hair not included). The salon also offers weekly specials.

Admiring my new ΓÇÿdo, I asked Danielle about her celebrity clientele. ΓÇ£All my clients are celebrities when you come into my salon,ΓÇ¥ she declared.
