Hanging With Lourdes’ Dad And Other Health Gurus In The Hamptons!By Delaina Dixon | July 12, 2016 | Fitness
Hey DivaGals! You know TV DivaGal kicked off a new healthy regimen to become stronger, sleeker and healthier ΓÇô FOR LIFE! So it makes sense that IΓÇÖd spend a full day working my butt off at the inaurgural Healthy Guru Event Southampton, N.Y. this past weekend.
Designed to bring health, fitness and wellness to the community and beyond, I got a chance to talk to so many who are dedicated to helping overs live their best fit life yet.
I spoke with Carlos Leon, fitness leader, panelist and proud father of Lourdes Leon (yes, thatΓÇÖs MadonnaΓÇÖs eldest child!). The just turned 50 year old said the key to healthy living is to drink a lot of water and eat right. ΓÇ£If you eat twinkies, youΓÇÖll look like a twinkie,ΓÇ¥ he shared with a wink.
I took a dance cardio class with the ladies of Dance Body, a dance center based in Manhattan. Training with founder Katia Pryce, who may have the best buns on the planet, I could feel the fitness flowing as I got Nae Nae on! Not in NYC? No problem! Streaming classes are available online!
With an appetite building, lunch included snacks from LifeIce, Barely Bread — a gluten-free alternative — and Luna bars.
It was then on to get stretched and strengthened on Freestyler, which uses resistance bands on all four limbs to tighten and tone the body.
After all that hard work, it was time for a vegan and gluten snack from The Natural Gourmet Institute, which teaches classes on raw, vegan and gluten free cooking.
I spotted Courtney Paul, from BravoΓÇÖs Workout, who literally gave me a lift as he schooled me on CPX, his new training program that will resculpt a body in 30 days.
But the day wasnΓÇÖt all about working out. After sweating, I got my brows and makeup on fleek with SabriaΓÇÖs Brows and Pur Cosmetics. I also got pampered with a chair massage, compliments of Dasha Wellness, a comprehensive wellness center in New York City.
Of course, after all that wellness, who wouldnΓÇÖt be ready for a cocktail? I enjoyed sparkling Rotari rose, along with light bites at the Resident cover party for Real Housewives of New YorkΓÇÖs Ramona Singer, held at Japanese fusion eatery Kozu.
Now that’s a day of health, wealth and happiness!
