Have A “Date Night” @ Romantic VB3 In Jersey City!
By Maureen Martin | September 23, 2015 | Food Fashion Style, TravelJersey City is on the rise. You can tell by the luxury apartment buildings that are cropping up close to the PATH station in downtown Jersey City. On any given warm evening you will find young professional couples eating in outdoor cafes and strolling near the Yacht club.
We ventured to Jersey City to enjoy the chill ambiance of the neighborhood and enjoy a romantic dinner at VB3 Restaurant Sports Bar & Lounge. It takes 20 minutes door-to-door from Manhattan by PATH train to get to the Newport station, which is great. We l0ve an easy commute!
Who is in the kitchen? None other than Chef Michael Colletti who comes from a family of foodies. He is a graduate of  Culinary Education Center in Asbury Park, NJ. He has worked alongside iconic New York chefs Sirio Maccioni of the world renowned Le Cirque; Drew Nieporent and Michael Bao at Mai House; and celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn in Washington D.C. at the Sunnyside Group.  You may have also seen Chef Michael on the Food Network partnered with Chef Mendelsohn, compete in an episode of Iron Chef America that aired in March 2010.
VB3 offers a menu that is definitely pleasing to the palate. We enjoyed summer themed cocktails, risotto balls, warm popovers, and all served by a friendly staff.
Our meal was superbly prepared and paired with vegetables roasted to perfection. We feasted on the poast pork and the absolutely divine skin-on Grilled Sea Bass, with roasted cauliflower, capers, golden raisin vinaigrette and pinenut gremolata.
The menu is like a trip across the Mediterranean. You will find hummus, calamari, fresh oysters, along with American favorites chicken wings, and mac and cheese.
Of course, the cocktails were delicious.
There is definitely something to please everyone in your dinner party.┬áThis DivaGal recommends VB3 as a perfect “Date Night” getaway!
