Hijack Season 2: NY Premiere Screening and After-Party at Grand Central Station

The DivaGals had a dreamy evening at the Apple TV+ New York premiere screening of Hijack season 2. We joined star Idris Elba and the city’s most prominent influencers to tap into the next mind-blowing season of the reimagined hijack-thriller genre.
Arriving at the Whitby Hotel, we grabbed our snacks and FeverTree Ginger Ales and settled in for a first two-episode sneak peek. No spoilers here, but it’s gooood!
TV DivaGal Delaina Dixon, our resident petite goddess, noted that everyone at the festivities was so tall, to which star Elba, who was casually standing at the refreshment bar, responded with a “you’re not wrong” nod. The actors stand an impressive 6’2.

The cozy yet high-stakes vibe continued at the afterparty, which was held at the Campbell Apartment inside Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Station, one of the world’s busiest transit hubs. Getting to see Sir Elba (major knight energy!) and the wonderful Archie Panjabi in person was everything.
The entire room was filled with amazing talent. We spotted series stars Christine Adams, Max Beesley, and the legendary Toby Jones. We also loved seeing the new faces like Lisa Vicari, Christiane Paul, and Clare-Hope Ashitey. So grateful for these moments and this beautiful community. And we saw the most iconic embrace between Elba and rap legend Slick Rick.
Can’t wait for you all to see the new season of Hijack, dropping today, January 14, on AppleTV+. It’s a total rollercoaster, and the Berlin vibes are so intense.
