TV DivaGal knows we’ll all be watching Lifetime’s upcoming mini-series Marry Me, starring Lucy Liu, beginning Dec. 12. Romantic comedy? Hot guys? A wedding!? We’re so there.
I also know you’ll be drooling over the cuter-than-cute outfits Lucy sports over the two-night event. That’s why I asked the Cashmere Mafia alum the most important question: who does her character Rae Carter wear in the film!
“There’s a gorgeous teal blue, greenish Victoria Beckham dress,” Lucy spills. “It fit so well and it was pretty comfortable to wear. We ended up using that a lot in the movie. It’s my character’s basic style.”
Lucy also gets to rock some Lanvin in the production. “It was all different kinds of leopard prints cuts together, he just cuts so well.”
Dressed by her stylist Lee Harris, Lucy originally tried to pull off a more sedate look for Rae, who is a social worker. “It was down-to-earth khakis and collared shirts, but I have to say… for some reason, I wasn’t pulling it off,” she confesses. “Lee just decided, ‘Forget it, we’re going to go more stylish.'” Who wouldn’t want to upgrade from casual to couture?
Lucy’s character also plays up the accessories. “We’d add a J. Crew cardigan or jean jacket, and give Rae colored glasses and different colored heels with bright colored bags,” she shares. “She is also an artist, so we wanted to give her a flair and style.”
And we’re sure slipping into that killer wedding dress by Oscar de la Renta didn’t hurt either!
Marry Me, the two-night event, premieres Sunday, Dec. 12 and Monday, Dec. 13 at 9 p.m on Lifetime.

Does anyone know where I can get that ring she was wearing on her right hand? It was flat and square at the top. Not the engagement rings. I just love this ring. Thanks.
