IMAGE GAL: 24 Hours Before The Race!
By Samantha von Sperling | May 29, 2013 | Entertainment, RelationshipsImage Gal is 24 hours away from her race, the 2013 American Heart Walk, presented by NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City. Here’s the latest!
The amazing team at NYU cardio rehab was so instrumental in helping me put myself back together again. I lost 12 1/2 lbs. in two and a half months, without starving! My weight and BMI are all now within target.
Here are some things I’m doing to prep for my race.
Γ₧ó Hydrate. The body loses fluids during the run, so I’ll be will be upping my water intake. Studies suggest to drink as half much as your body weight — so glad I lost those 12 lbs.
Γ₧ó Wheat Grass. I’ll be taking two shots of wheat grass juice the morning of my race. It cleanses and purifies the system ΓÇô it’s like the equivalent of eating a bushelful of vegetables.
Γ₧ó Egg Whites. For a great burst of protein, I’ll have egg whites with spinach and hot sauce for breakfast the morning of my race.
Γ₧ó Sleep. I’ll sleep in that morning. Every little bit of extra energy helps.
Of course, the most important tips of the day, my makeup! I want to look fabulous when I cross the finish line, so I’ll be wearing:
- Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer Protect and Perfect Broad spectrum SPF 40 Tinted Lotion
- Softlips Pearl SPF 15  with The Body Shop Lily Cole Gloss in 04 Go Pink
- L’oreal Voluminous Water Proof Mascara
