ImageGal Shares Her Accomplishments During Covid To Inspire You To Achieve Yours (Action Steps Included!)
By Samantha Bessudo Drucker and Delaina Dixon | September 28, 2020 | Food Fashion StyleFall is officially upon us and we’ve been dealing with the pandemic for more than six months. Looking back from March, do you feel you’ve taken advantage of all the extra time you had to achieve some of those long, put-off goals?
Here our own ImageGal Samantha Bessudo Drucker checks off her list of accomplishments, along with some advice to get you motivated to start your putting dreams in action. It’s never too late to start!
First, I learned to make a mask and bake gluten-free almond rosemary biscuits.
It’s been the ideal time to learn new tasks. Whether it’s a crafty art or getting creative in the kitchen, this is the perfect time to use all this extra home time to master activities that require a little time and patience.
I started to do a talk show called Sexy Is Timeless Talks with two of my besties, Luisa Diaz and Delaina Dixon. Watch it every Wednesday at #SexyIsTimeless on Facebook and YouTube.
Do you and your friends have the craziest conversations? Maybe the world would enjoy what you have to say! Join a few pals and start something online or on social media. Keep it light and fun as we could all use a few laughs right now.
I started growing some of my own food and got really into growing different kinds of sprouts.
There’s never been a more important time to be at your optimal health. If you’re eating at home regularly, make this the time to make healthy choices. Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet for their amazing beneficial properties. Choose lean sources of protein and complex carbs. And yes, enjoy that piece of dark chocolate!
My husband Jeffrey and I started a long-awaited renovation on our home in North Miami and commenced filming season two of Love & Design Project, which you can watch on YouTube. Please subscribe and like!
Ok, maybe you won’t document every moment of renovating through a pandemic, but what a great time to make some changes to your living space. They can be small, like painting a room a new color and changing out bedding and curtains, to major overhauls. The key is to make your space one that’s as inviting as you always dreamed it to be. And yes, you can do it on a budget. Listen to Samantha’s budget-friendly home decorating tips for ideas.
I wanted to improve my understanding of social media and improve my ability to post effectively, so I took a social media workshop class with Yvonne Forbes. Knowledge is power!
It definitely is! This is the perfect time to learn new skills from an expert. There are thousands of tutorials, classes and personal interactions you can delve into on the web, and many free opportunities to expand your knowledge base. Seriously, this is why Google exists! Come up with a list of things you’ve always wanted to know, learn and master and start educating yourself online.
I made a point to live in a state of gratitude, appreciating the beauty around me. I’ve worked towards my dreams and noticed the good omens around me. As always, no matter what life brings, I work hard, always striving toward living my best life.
This is one of the most challenging times many of us have endured in our lives. Taking stock of what’s important in your life is key. Showing gratitude for being alive and being surrounded by people who love you is a great start. Keep thanking, affirming, learning and evolving. We will all come through this stronger and more grateful for all the things we have.
