We’re pretty certain not having your weekly Inspiration Gal sucked. So she’s back and better than ever!
Stop focusing on what you donΓÇÖt want.
“I donΓÇÖt want to be late. I donΓÇÖt want this make-up to make me look shiny. I donΓÇÖt want to look fat.” We have become obsessed with what we do not want. Sometimes we get so obsessed about what we don’t want, that is all we can focus on: I donΓÇÖt want to get fat. Well guess what, the more you focus on not getting fat, the fatter you will become!
Your subconscious mind does not understand the concept of negation. For example, do not think about your left pinky toe. Clear your mind of all thoughts regarding your left pinky toe. Do not think about what it looks like after a manicure or how it feels in those super cute, but too tight sandals. Just donΓÇÖt think about your pinky toe.
Right when you read not to think about your pinky toe, you started thinking about it. No matter how many times you read not to think about it, your brain conjured up an image of your left pinky toe.
So when you say “I donΓÇÖt want to be late,” what happens in your subconscious mind? Your mind hears, ΓÇ£I want to be late.ΓÇ¥ Suddenly you are imagining pictures of yourself being late. Your mind works to create the condition of being late! You find yourself moving slowly because you have told your subconscious that you want to be late and it is doing just that!
Remember, you are what you think, so think in the positive: I am going to be early; my make-up looks beautiful; I am healthy and fit! Focus on what you want and you will get it!
