ΓÇ£Hey Jude, don’t make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better….ΓÇ¥ Whenever I hear those famous lyrics of the Beatles song ΓÇ£Hey Jude,ΓÇ¥ I get happy. The song reminds me that I have the power to take a sad situation and make it better — at least in my mind!

The one thing you will always have control over is how you interpret a situation. When we hear about a natural disaster, like a hurricane or tsunami, we tend to focus on the destruction and death. The amazing thing about every disaster is that there are usually accompanying stories of heroism, inspiration and love.

This is what we need to focus on regarding all negative aspects of life. Bad things are already bad, you don’t need to make them any worse by dwelling on the depressing consequences. Take that sad song/situation, focus on the positive outcomes from the experience and make it better.
