Spoken language is so very powerful. Spoken words can make you feel happy or sad. Words can make you feel contempt, love, gratefulness or hopelessness. Words are so powerful, and yet so many of us do not use them to speak to ourselves out loud.
I want you to think about how wonderful today is going to be. It is going to be a perfect day! The sun is shining clear and even though itΓÇÖs January, the temperature will be in the 70s! Now, I want you to say that out loud. Declare that it will be a perfect day out loud! Do you feel the difference?
Declare what kind of day you are going to have in the morning every morning. I get out of bed every morning and declare, ΓÇ£This is going to be a great day, or a fun day or a productive day — or all three!ΓÇ¥ Declare what you want to accomplish for the day and declare what you want in life, ΓÇ£IΓÇÖm making $100,000 a year annual income.ΓÇ¥ Declare how you feel about yourself, ΓÇ£I love myself!ΓÇ¥
Some of us are hesitant to tell ourselves that we love ourselves but try it — say it aloud and watch the smile come over your face.
Best of all, speaking out loud to yourself is very effective when you have negative thoughts. Change your negative thoughts to positive ones and say something good to yourself out loud.
So remember, its okay to talk to yourself. Now, repeat after me, “I encourage myself to say all my positive thoughts out loud!”
