Your Best Buy to Invest In

I’ve a hot tip about the investment market! People are investing in gold, oranges, Disney and Apple, but they have it all wrong. The best return on your investment will be from investing in people.

No, I am not talking about Soylent Green. I am talking about investing in your relationships. Putting time, and even a little money, into your relationship with a person will cause that relationship to reap awesome returns.

When a co-worker seems down, I put a smiley face on a sticky note and write them a quick quip about missing their smile. When a girlfriend has a baby, I remember to send her a card celebrating her first Happy MotherΓÇÖs Day. I love coupons and constantly seek them out. If I find a product that I know someone else uses I give it to them. Sometimes I pass them on even when I also use that product because the 30 cents savings is better spent investing in the friendship.

Leaving a 75 cent candy bar on a co-worker’s desk or making cookies for the office can make you a hero. One of the simplest ways to invest in people is to remember their birthday. Making it a habit of calling or even texting people for their special day will double your investment!

So when you are selecting between Apple and Mircosoft, remember the surest best is to invest in the people around you. It will always be a profitable one — can Bill Gates promise you that?
