INSPIREΓǪ A Cause “Beauty For A Cure” Breast Cancer Event — Plus: Get Karina’s Look for Less!By DIVAGALS | October 27, 2011 | Entertainment, Gals On The Town, Relationships
The DivaGals love to support a charity event, and if we can get a makeover while we’re at it, even better. That’s why Entertainment Gal hit Joico hair care products “Beauty For A Cure” event at Gavert Atelier in Los Angeles this month.
While sipping on low calorie cocktails made with Voli Light Vodka in the salon, which was transformed in pink, we watched breast cancer survivors receive makeovers by the Gavert Atelier stylists, right beside celebrity guests: Dancing with the Stars‘ Karina Smirnoff and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards. Both revealed that they both lost their grandmothers to breast cancer. Mika Fowler, Olivia Munn‘s hairstylist, provided the day’s styling.
“Beauty For A Cure” helps fund significant cancer research that can save millions of lives. Joico will donate $12,500 to City of Hope, a bio-medical research treatment and education center. Since last October, Joico has raised $1.2 million dollars for the “Beauty For A Cure” campaign/program for City of Hope-Breast Cancer Research.
