The TV DivaGal admits, Samantha Who?, Christina Applegate‘s quirky comedy about a woman with amnesia who tries to become a better person the second time around, wasn’t one of my favorites when it first aired in 2007.
I still watched it every week. And towards the end, it had actually grown on me.
So I was devastated when ABC announced it was canceling the series due to budget and scheduling concerns. I’m not the only one.
“It was heartbreaking,” ABC president Stephen McPherson tells the TV DivaGal.
“I love, love, love Christina, and think she’s one of our great comedic talents working out there. It would be great to bring her back [to the network].”
Really? Like in a revised version of her old series?
“Yes absolutely,” Stephen declared. “If we thought it was a concept that could work.”
And it was cheap enough!
