Kim Kardashian Congrats “Streaming Sister” Amy Schumer On Schumer’s New Show Life & Beth – Hulu Press Tour Winter ’22

Amy Schumer‘s virtual press conference for her new Hulu series Life & Beth got crashed by a very special and famous guest. While the cast talked about the new dramedy, which features Schumer playing a thirty-something woman who is seeking more in her life, Schumer answered a Facetime call and on the other line was none other than Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian, who had on a full beat and a plush robe, asked if she was interrupting Schumer. The comedian joked back, “not really.” The reality star extraordinaire went on to share that she had watched Schumer’s upcoming Hulu series and had so many questions, “about the boyfriend and the mom,” Kardashian cooed.

Schumer seemed truly touched, pointing out that Kim and her whole Kardashian family were also coming to the Hulu platform later this year. The two bonded as “Hulu Sisters” before Kardashian told Amy that she should let her get back to work.

The surprised-timed phone call was probably less of a surprise and more of a smart marketing strategy to promote both of the strong, female-centric voices coming to the network. In September 2020, the Kardashians revealed they were ending their Keeping Up With The Kardashians run on E! after 14 years and 20 seasons. In December 2020, the family announced they would be taking their billionaire family franchise to Hulu.

Before ending the call, Kardashian reminded people that Schumer’s new series, Life & Beth — which also stars Yamaneika Saunders — premieres on Hulu on March 18, pretty much proving that she was totally prepared to appear in front of reporters and promote other projects on her family’s new streaming home.

The Kardashians, Kim and family’s new reality series, premieres on Hulu on April 14.
