LUXE GAL: Bollywood Style at Runway Fashion India

Luxe Gal has discerning taste in fashion that goes beyond what you can get at the local mall. That’s why I was seated, first row of course, at Runway Fashion India, a Bollywood infused evening of fashion and performance.

Starting backstage, I witnessed clothes from every region of India, which included dresses, pants and head coverings in intricate patterned prints. After a quick run on the carpet, it was off to the show.

The three-plus hour extravaganza featured several designer’s offerings, ranging from traditional Indian dress to more modern takes on the country’s classic clothing choices. There was singing and dancing, including a Michael Jackson inspired routine. Yes, everyone loves M.J.
