LUXE GAL: Culture On Wheels — Hyundai’s Newest Ride!By Maureen Martin | October 25, 2011 | Entertainment, Food Fashion Style
Getting around town is easy ΓǪ when you have the right wheels. Mix that with art, music, fashion, technology, culture and design and you’ve got a ride the DivaGals can’t resist.
That’s why resident DivaGals, Luxe Gal Maureen Martin and Jill Goldsberry, visited the RE:MIX Lab Pop-Up shop, conveniently located in New York City’s Chelsea Market, last week. Joining a hipster crowd sipping vodka and munching on pop burgers, we bopped our heads to the sweet mix provided by DJ Armstrong, and checked out Hyundai Motor America’s three customized Velosters that were revealed at the grand opening festivities.
Built to embody music, technology and gaming, each car featured a masterpiece in the festivalΓÇÖs principle installation: Exhibits in Collaboration. “Our exciting three-door sporty coupe, designed for just about any adventure drivers can imagine, connects in personality and function with a group that loves music, fashion, gaming and technology,” said Steve Shannon, vice president of Marketing, Hyundai Motor America. We personally checked out a pimped out Hyundai with a video bowling game, and our cute evening companion ΓÇ£Rob the MoverΓÇ¥ of www.robthemover.com happily scored a strike!
Highlights of the evening included live performances by Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Hoodie Allen, DJ Neil Armstrong and Dean & Ravo. AmericaΓÇÖs Next Top Model All-Star Camille McDonald was also onsite for the reveal. But the fun doesn’t stop in the Big Apple. Hyundai has introduced a YouTube channel dedicated to streaming content from future events as the series begins its tour in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago and Miami. We are so ready to pound some pavement in our Hyundai!
