If you’re upset that TNT has decided not to renew Raising the Bar for a third season, star Mark-Paul Gosselaar is so feeling your pain.

Just last week, he told the TV DivaGal that he was “disappointed by us having to wait for pickup,” at the Duracell Smart Lab in New York City.

“I felt our show should have gotten picked up when some of the other shows on TNT did, considering we had the same numbers.”

Obviously, they weren’t enough to keep the show afloat. TNT announced yesterday that the two-season-old series has been canceled.

“Everyone at TNT had a great experience working on Raising the Bar with Steven Bochco and the rest of the showΓÇÖs terrific cast and crew,” a spokesperson says.

“WeΓÇÖre proud of the series and appreciate the efforts of all of the creative people who were involved. Unfortunately, ratings for Raising the BarΓÇÖs second season did not reach the levels required for TNT to renew the series.

Mark’s currently in New York City, starring in the off-Broadway play The Understudy., but he was eager to get back to the courtroom.

“Our ratings are good and we have an audience,” he said.

Hopefully, fans will follow Mark someplace else. Maybe to that Saved By the Bell reunion at last!
