Megan Thee Stallion as Zidler in Moulin Rogue! The Musical

Hot girls better get ready to snap up tickets and fill up seats at the theater! Megan Thee Stallion is gearing up to make her Broadway debut in Moulin Rogue! The Musical in New York City on Mar 24.

The three-time Grammy-winning rapper and actress is taking another leap in her career, stepping into the role of Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in the popular stage adaptation of the 2001 movie. Production photos released this week show Megan in the character’s eye-catching outfit, setting Instagram comments ablaze with excitement.

The show is the perfect outlet to showcase the artist’s killer energy. Who can forget “Lady Marmalade,” the Christina Aguilera-led song that dominated the charts after the original movie? Producers have promised all the classic songs that theatergoers have come to love from the show while also teasing that the audience will get a taste of some familiar Megan hits before she ends her run on May 17.

It won’t just be a landmark role for Megan. When she steps out on stage on the first night of her run, it will mark the first time a female performer plays Zidler—the flamboyant host of the Paris nightclub—in the musical’s history.

The rapper follows a long legacy of popular actors who have donned the iconic top hat, including Wayne Brady and Bob the Drag Queen, who will be passing the torch to Megan this week.

“I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace. Broadway demands a different level of discipline, preparation and storytelling, but I’m up for the challenge and can’t wait for the Hotties to see a new side of me,” Megan said in a statement.

And the Hotties sure are excited to see this new side of the rapper.

“I just know she’s going to be great and have the best time. I’m so jealous of everyone who gets to go,” said one Reddit user.

“If you hear someone hysterically hooting and hollering from the orchestra don’t panic that’s me friend,” said another supportive comment underneath Megan’s Instagram post showing off her look for the musical.

The rapper will take on the role for an eight-week run. After that, fans will have limited time to see the Tony-winning musical on the Broadway stage before the show officially closes in July after a successful seven-year run.

Additional information on the production can be found on Playbill, and tickets can be purchased on ATG
