The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) hosted its first annual holiday party last week alongside its community partners. The festive evening celebrated the accomplishments from this year of Latine talent, creators, executives and partners.

Taking place at the Marina Del Rey Marriott in California, the festivities brought together notable industry leaders and creatives including actors Constance MarieMishel Prada, Michael Cimino and Sasha Calle (pictured), along with award-winning writer, director and actress Gloria Calderón Kellett (pictured), U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro, Cris Abrego (Chairman of the Americas, Banijay and President and CEO, Endemol Shine Holdings), Karla Pita Loor (Chair, NALIP Board of Directors; Executive Vice President, Enterprise Inclusion & Social Responsibility, Banijay Americas) and more. Special remarks were given by Castro, Calderón Kellett, Loor and Abrego.

The first of many, the event is intended to be an annual celebration that recognizes the strides made by the Latine community in film and TV while building meaningful relationships for the years to come. Among the community partners for the holiday party were the Latino Film Institute, National Hispanic Media Coalition, The Latinx House and the National Museum of the American Latino. Learn more at
