NBC UCP Press Tour Winter ’19 – Jessica Pearson Gets Own USA Series. La Reina De Sur Is Back on Telemundo! CNBC Brings Diverse Cast To Real Estate.By Delaina Dixon | January 30, 2019 | Entertainment
Here are some of the great projects coming out of NBC’s Universal Content Production arm.
La Reina del Sur is returning to Telemundo! Season 2, taking places eight years later, will be subtitled in English so non-Spanish speaking fans gat enjoy the adrenaline-rush series. Teresa is out of the drug biz and now living a quiet life in the Tuscany until her daughter is kidnapped – you know this proud mama will stop at nothing to protect her child. At the La Reina del Sur panel, star Kate del Castillo, who did it on her own in a red chair (true fans will get the reference) said she’s proud to be a pioneer for aspiring female stars and hopes that actresses of every color and nationality can play complex, non-perfect women on TV.
Loved Jessica Pearson on Suits? Well, she’s getting her own show! Pearson follows the lawyer back to her hometown of Chicago, where she reconnects with family and gets a job working with the mayor. Of course, she hasn’t lost any of her fiery spirit – or fierce wardrobe choices! Gina Torres stars.
CNBC’s new series Listing Impossible shares stories of $1 million-plus homes that need an entire rehaul to be sold. We’re excited for the series incredibly diverse cast! That includes Aaron Kirman, president of Aaroe Estates at John Aaroe Groupman, and his team: Neyshia Go, Morgan Trent and Arvin Haddad.
