If you are in the Atlanta area, get your ticket for the movie premiere Angel’s Palace, happening March 26 at The Atrium. This short drama is about sex trafficking and stars Jerjuan Easton. “The movie is based on a true story about the sex trafficking business,” Easton, who goes by BGVillin, tells the DivaGals. The movie is written by Carolyn Herring-Jones. “A portion of the proceeds will support groups fighting against sex trafficking,” BGVillin shares.
A New York native who relocated to Atlanta, BGVillin has seen firsthand the tragedy of sex trafficking. “I never knew this is one of the top five places where sex trafficking happens.” He explains that many girls who start exotic dancing can get involved in more nefarious work, and then disappear. The movie is a warning message. “It’s important for these women to know that they are selling their bodies and end up missing. We want these young ones to know what really happens.”
