You probably recognize Arséma Thomas from her roles as the young Lady Agatha Danbury in Netflix’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story and Mali in She Taught Love on Hulu. Well, this American actress with a rich international background (born to diplomat parents with Nigerian and Ethiopian heritage) has an amazing beauty secret we can all incorporate into our lives this year.

“My beauty secret? It’s Vaseline. I’m the type of person who, if I have a ton of Vaseline, will make that into a lot of different things,” she declares.
Thomas, who initially pursued a career in public health, earning degrees from Carnegie Mellon and Yale before following her true passion into acting, makes this inexpensive product a multi-purpose gem.
“I’ll put it on my eyelids and make them shine like glitter. I’ll put it on my cheekbones. It’s like a highlighter, and I’ll put it on the bridge of my nose.”
This international Diva will speak at the 2025 Black Solidarity Conference, held at Yale University, starting January 30. And we’re pretty sure she’ll use this tip while there.
“Then on my lips. I’m like, good. We were done. Vaseline saves saves lives. I swear.”
