Halloween 2023 Blood Manor and Hypnotique

Halloween is always a big celebration in the Big Apple. Here are a few events you can enjoy this season, from scary to sensual!

Get Entranced at Hypnotique

There’s a reason no social media is allowed at Hypnotique, the new late-night, immersive performance at The McKittrick Hotel on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s not about scares and spills, but instead, a sultry performance that sexy men and women deliver in this burlesque-inspired showcase.

Upon arrival, we locked away our cameras and headed into the main ballroom space inside the hotel, where beautiful Black men in mesh shirts gyrated throughout the room. After partaking in a pink elixir, we watched as a singer serenaded our fellow enthralled guests. Several gorgeous female dancers of every ethnicity hit the stage in blonde wigs and trenchcoats, showing that a full dance number can be accomplished in even the smallest spaces.

Silently guided by the male dancers, we made room for the main attraction: a ballet dancer who would, in the most graceful way, strip down to her g-string (ah, that’s why there are no cameras!). We would see more of these beautiful women in various stages of dress: in a  bathtub and an office setting, and the most Halloweeny of the bunch, a woman in red who most likely just committed a gruesome crime (but she looks fabulous while doing it). Once the show ends, guests are invited to stay for the DJ dance party!

If scares aren’t your bag at Halloween, indulge in the sexiness of Hynotique. Tickets are now available.

Blood Manor’s 20th Anniversary

Our fearless contributor Sean DuBois takes on the Manor!

Are you scared of the dark? Are you looking for something spooky to do this October season? Blood Manor is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023!

We had the chance to experience the Manor at 359 Broadway, a first-class haunted house attraction with approximately 10,000 square feet of themed rooms, corridors and a labyrinth of passageways in the Tribeca neighborhood. When you first enter, you are greeted by growls and loud slamming against the walls. You can’t ignore the “monsters” staring and growling at you while waiting in line. Some even slam their hands on the wall next to you!

Walking through the manor while chased by men with chainsaws and crying women covered in blood was terrifying! Before you enter the fun house, you are handed a pair of 3D glasses and a greeting of “Have fun in hell!” The 3D glasses accentuate the horror experience while you walk through a room filled with neon lights while being scared by killer clowns and a handful of other creatures.

If you love horror and walking through a dark room waiting for a jump scare, you will love the experience of “Blood Manor!” Get tickets at Bloodmanor.com.
