NEW YORK FASHION WEEK Spring 2013: Reem Acra Fashion Presentation

I believe there’s that moment in every girl’s life where she wishes to be a princess. Designer Reem Acra must live by the same mantra. Her Spring 2013 line is tailor made for gals who want a fairy-tale experience ΓÇô with or without a prince.

Reem shared that this season’s collection is inspired by the motorcycle works of Aaron Young, and yes, we could see how some of her full-length gowns would blow freely in a gust of wind. The stunning collection features ready-to-wear dresses, tops and pants, several featuring laser cut open embellishments. But it was the gowns that made this Fashion Week audience gasp with delight.

There were flows of gold, ivory and blush that swirled around the ankles of Reem’s models, with delicate embellishments such as ombre trimmings, embroidered collars and floral detailing. A stunning Vermilion crepe dress with sheer side panels left nothing to the imagination, but still seemed demure.
