Nourish Your Skin With Eau De Grece

Get the benefits of Greek skin care without traveling overseas. Global contributor Anthony Grant checks out hot Greek beauty line.

In ancient mythology, the god Zeus was born on the island of Crete.

Many thousands of years later, this long and mysterious Greek island, bathed in sunlight and blessed by gorgeous Mediterranean scenery, gives us a new range of bath and body products called Eau de Grece, which use extracts and essential oils from CreteΓÇÖs wild herbs and flowers, masterfully blended to offer a supremely pure and natural way to pamper your skin.

I discovered it thanks to Grecotel, a collection of GreeceΓÇÖs finest resorts, where many of the products are featured as bath amenities. Many of those herbs and flowers used as ingredients come straight from the Agreco Farm on Crete, which is also part of the Grecotel group.

Made in small batches, there is a freshness to these delightfully fragranced, artfully packaged products that you can immediately feel. Has jetlag made your locks lose their luster? Perk them up with Eau de GreceΓÇÖs Nutri Revive Hair Mask, which features avocado oil and grapeseed oil. A shampoo for oily hair uses nettle and lappa; the conditioner has fennel and yarrow; and a super lovely foam bath ramps up the bliss factor with Melissa and marjoram.

The Grape and Bamboo Shower & Scrub Gel is a great way to revitalize yourself in the morning. The Moisturizing Body Lotion with Red Grape and Sage is lusciously smooth.

Beauty care winners include the olive and chamomile eye cream, an olive
and oak youth-restoring face cream and our personal favorite, the Olive & Helichrysum Everlasting 24-hour Face Cream. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants that prevent premature aging of the skin, this one also uses fennel water. The Helichrysum extract balances sebum secretion, while the mountain tea extract purifies and tones the skin. The natural nourishing and moisturizing ingredients of olive oil, wheatgerm oil, avocado and shea butter restore lost lipids and soothe. Hyaluronic acid provides hydration and promotes skin elasticity.

There is also a fine anti-aging hand cream with evening primrose and olive and another with olive and lemon balm, body sculpting gel with E-Viniferin and horse chestnut and sun protection lotions with olive and fennel in the Eau de Grece range.

Agrecofarms also has a small but impressive range of gourmet products ranging from organic extra virgin olive oil to organic blossom honey and flavorful delicatessen artichokes, packaged in attractive glass jars.

Clearly, Agreco has got it going on! For more information visit or
