TV DivaGal loves to watch an award show with friends.
That’s why I spent the evening at the official 82nd Annual Academy Awards New York City┬á celebration at Gilt restaurant in the New York Palace Hotel.
I revisited my soap days when I ran into Eileen Fulton, who’s played Lisa Grimaldi on the daytime series As the World Turns since 1960. She looked fantastic.
I then chatted it up with the┬áeternally youthful Tina Louise, who starred as vivacious Ginger Grant on one of my childhood fave shows, Gilligan’s Island.
Of course, I had to ask her about upcoming movie version of Gilligan’s Island, and who should star as Ginger.
“I’d love to play my own role,” she laughed. Looking fierce at 76, she could easily do it.
As for Gilligan, series creator Sherwood Schwartz still has Michael Cera as his top choice.
“He’d like to see it done before he dies,” Tina dished to us.
And so would we!
