NYFW Spring 18 – Front Row at NOLCHA’s Fashion Presentation, Part I!
By Tendrina Alexandre, Delaina Dixon | September 13, 2017 | LifestyleDivaGalsDaily was front and center at NOLCHA’s NYFW shows all day last Friday, seeing several presentations from designers from around the world.
Our own fearless E-I-C Delaina Dixon witnessed the W.Reflex show, an Asian brand that feels like athleisure upgraded. There were pants with snaps and tassels and pieces that promoted recycling – literally, with the universal symbol to reuse, recycle and renew. We were a little confused by a couple of designs that favored ones we’d see in an old-fashioned medical facility, but overall the collection was fun and playful. The time to be at was the 8:30 presentation, which contributor Tendrina Alexandre attended. It featured four designers! Each line introduced a ton of new trends, concepts and ideas that have inspired us to incorporate some unconventional pieces into our wardrobe in the upcoming season. Check it out:
The night began with Trade by Gina La Morte. The neutral-colors only line featured oversized clothes and fashion-forward everyday bags. The pieces appeared very comfortable, but the different textures gave them a trendy and timeless feel.
Yurita Puji was next. The tribal patterns and intricate headpieces featured in this line, brought a regal vibe to each look. Looking for something uniquely cultured and formal? Check out some of these gorgeous looks for some inspiration!
The third line featured in Friday’s show was Neubyrne. This line was a blast! The designer merged vibrant patterns and bold colors, with risky textures to create something fun and fabulous!
Last up, but definitely not least, wasChasity Sereal. This elegant line featured both unconventional materials and trendy styles to create bohemian-meets-black tie genius! We got a chance to speak to Chasity after the show, where she told us that the name of the line was Lady Godiva. “Godiva means God’s gift,” she told us, “….God’s gift to man is a woman and God’s gift to Earth is nature.” Chasity used the subject of Mother Nature to symbolize how men often underestimate woman. “This is definitely about women’s empowerment…it’s time for women to take our power back.”
