THE MAIN EVENT. Where To Get A Get A White Gold Cocktail In NYC! And What To Do When You Meet Miss America!By Delaina Dixon | March 28, 2016 | Gals On The Town
Hey DivaGals! It was an amazing week last week for our fearless E-I-C Delaina Dixon, including hanging out with the cast of WE tv’s new series Sisters In Law.
We knew that STK Midtown was a sleek steakhouse with a modern and vibrant vibe. So when we arrived for STK Midtown’s fourth anniversary party, we weren’t surprised to see the bright light illuminating its name on the wall. But we were surprised to watch a contortionist serving champagne while hanging upside down from the ceiling — we need to be on that training program!
We were immediately led into the back VIP room and sipped the house specialty of the night — the White Gold cocktail, made with white rum and a gold sugar rim, delish. We can’t wait to go back and try their Happy Hour with $10 Cosmos, Manhattans and Gin Gimlets, as well as $10 bar bites!
So what do you say when you meet Miss America? How about just bow in her honor. And that’s exactly what we did when we met a Miss America vet at the book launch for Jean Shafiroff‘s Successful Philanthropy.
Suzette Charles, who was the first runner-up in 1984 and assumed the role of Miss America several months later, is tiny in stature, and if we dare say it ΓÇô looks even better now than she did while wearing the crown. She’s spent plenty of her life giving back, and had her copy of Successful Philanthropy ready for a good week’s read.
Stay tuned for this week’s adventures!
