You never know where Perfect Plus One will end up with TV DivaGal!
This summer was no exception. Here is a recap of the season’s activities…
Perfect Plus One accompanied TV DivaGal to Pasadena to attend some of the Television Critics Association’s conference events, and to tour L.A.
Since I am more likely to hop the pond and visit Merry Olde England than travel to our own western shores, it was PP1’s first trip to the left coast.
PP1 saw the usual tourist spots such as Union Station and the Griffith Observatory. I even had my own “Pretty Woman” moment in Beverly Hills by having drinks at the Beverly Hills Wilshire Hotel.
At the NBC Universal cocktail party, PP1 chatted with Heroes stars James Kyson Lee and spotted Hayden Panettiere. I also mingled with Stargate Universe‘s Ming-Na, and Padma Lakshmi and Gail Simmons from Bravo Network’s Top Chef.
The following night, Fox Network had its get-together at the same location, on the grassy back court of the glorious Langham Hotel. I spotted celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and the Family Guy‘s Seth MacFarlane. I wonder if they cooked up some reality/animated series cross-over!
Although life in Tinseltown was fun for a week, PP1 returned from the trip as an even prouder New Yorker. Now I understand why red state conservatives speak ill about liberal Hollywood types.
As I was driving around L.A., I saw lanes of single-occupied vehicles. It was enough to make this blue stater red. As you may know, PP1 is a firm believer in public transportation, and my trip out West affirmed this.
As a friend and I got lost in beautiful downtown Burbank, got stuck in a traffic jam on the 101, drove past a fire in the mountains headed towards Pasadena, I was struck with the conviction that nothing tops the subway system in NYC.
And who could resist New York City during Fashion Week?
PP1 attended the Le Souk Harem Greenwich Village opening party with TV DivaGal to kick off the fashionable festivities.
Where else can you see belly dancers, a sword-eater, a fire juggler and a caftan-wearing magician?
The next night, I watched good girl group Nina Sky perform at SOB’s, and then hung out at another Fashion Week pre-party at The Eldridge in the Lower East Side along Janice Dickinson and supermodel Jaime Rishar.
Yep. Buckle your seat belts for a wild Fashion Week with TV DivaGal.
I hope that you had an amazing summer as well!
Signing off for now…Cheers,
Perfect Plus One
