Every once in a while, TV DivaGal finds herself as someone else’s plus one.
That’s how I found myself on Mulberry Street in New York City. Invited by my friend and marketing genius Tina Newman, I was clinking glasses at The Art of Adamport thrown by artist Adam Port.
His work would make Sports Gal scream with glee, since the young New Yorker paints majorly awesome pictures of sports athletes that will make you think twice if they were snapped in action.
The man who painted Michael Jordan‘s portrait for the 2009 Basketball Hall of Fame wanted to give back to others by hosting a fund-raising event benefiting Ronald McDonald House New York, which provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families.
The night featured Avion Tequila cocktails, tasty Hors d’┼ôuvres and a roomful of Adam’s amazing paintings available for purchase.
