Our new correspondent, Lynn, gets a blowout with VIP perks!
After a long day at work, you can’t do better than a glass of wine, a chat with friends, and the opportunity to put your hair in the hands of a styling expert. Oh, and hang out with Ramona Singer, one of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City.
Singer was on hand recently at Mizu Salon on Park Avenue to introduce her latest line of jewelry for HSN. The collection, set in silver with varying combinations of semi-precious stones and diamonds, has a distinctly Art Deco look.
Singer said she created the collection because she wanted jewelry that was timeless, both in look and quality. Many pieces were inspired by gifts from her husband, or jewelry she had found at auction, she said.
Singer introduced the line at Mizu, where she and her daughter, Avery, go for styling. The ultra modern salon was opened in November 2008 by former Bumble and bumble stylists Vaughn Acord and Damian Santiago.
Mizu’s 49 stylists and colorists serve a large clientele, including celebrities Richard Gere, Dianne Wiest, Christine Lahti, and Tony Bennett.
While Singer talked up her collection, guests were treated to complimentary blow outs from star editorial stylists like Xavier Silva and glasses of Opici wine.
Singer’s pride in the collection and passion for her product was evident as she chatted with guests. And us. “I can only do what I love,” she said.
And we’re loving her for it.
