On Wednesday night, TV DivaGal hung with the cast of Rescue Ink and learned the one thing that can get you on the bad side of animal activist Big Ant.
“I have zero tolerance for anyone abusing an animal,” he told me at the NYC premiere screening of the new reality series. “They’re defenseless.” I’m taking your word for it, Ant!
Big Ant and the rest of these tattooed, Harley-riding members of the Rescue Ink animal abuse task force will save any fish, fowl or four-legged creature in peril, even if it puts them in jeopardy.
“This lady had six pigs in her yard, and we had to get these 600 lbs pigs into crates,” said Big Ant, who stands over 6 ft tall and weighs more than 300 lbs himself.
“Let me tell you, pigs bite. I don’t know if anybody knows that.”
We sure didn’t, Ant!
A little love nibble isn’t gonna stop Rescue Ink from doing what they do best.
“When the animals are in a good place, it just makes you more at peace,” Big Ant said.
And we’re grateful for it!
Rescue Ink premieres Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. on National Geographic Channel.
