Movie Gal Brittany McCarthy is back with a must-see film for the spring!
Hello lovely Divas!
The best part about spring is it makes people happy. ItΓÇÖs a time where everyone wants to meet up and network, and most important, everyone is full of love. Love is so beautiful, and it’s the key factor in the new flick 5 Flights Up, which I screened the other day. Have you heard of it? Ladies this is a MUST-SEE film.
So what is 5 Flights Up?
It’s a 92-minute sneak peek into the lives of a longtime married couple, played by Morgan Freeman and Diane Keaton, who discover that finding a new home is not about settling down with life, but actually starting a new adventure together.
Over 40 years ago, Alex Carver (played by Freeman) brought an old rundown apartment in Brooklyn N.Y., along with his wife Ruth (played by Keaton). Throughout the years they developed a love so close that not even family members, friends or the fact that Ruth could never have children, have stopped them from being together. But after all these years, they finally want to move on with their lives to a new apartment.
Why do they need new digs? Their current apartment is on the fifth floor of a building with no elevator. For over forty years the couple have been walking up and down five flights of stairs to their apartment, and now they are both over 60 years old. Their real-estate agent, played by Cynthia Nixon (from Sex and The City), is trying to help Ruth and Alex move to a new apartment. It’s a great commentary on how life should always offer new experiences, even in your later years.
Here some more pros about 5 Flights Up: the film is full humor and special A-List appearances. Most of all, the film gives off a great spring vibe that will make you enjoy the weather to come.
