Show You Gotta Watch Tonight: Inedible to Incredible

john-besh-175x175TV DivaGal admits, she’s not good at everything. And cooking is definitely at the top of the list.

I’m not alone. TLC new series, Inedible to Incredible, takes on those who are clueless in the kitchen and tries to turn these wayward cooks into top-notch chefs.

“It’s really about me giving you the tools you need to do it yourself,” series host and celebrity chef John Besh tells me. And what exactly would those tools be, John?

“Rice wine vinegar is a kitchen cabinet staple. I can make an easy three or four sauces from that,” he shares.

“With a little a bit of blackberry jam, I’ve got the base for a great glaze. Add a little mustard to it and squeeze of ketchup and I’ve got an incredible barbeque sauce.”

Sounding good, John!

“A little rice wine vinegar can liven up a ceviche.”

Okay, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

John says the cupboard should always be stocked with oils, vinegars, arroyo rice, pasta or couscous, “just in case you have unexpected guests,” John says. “Then you can do anything.”

Offering my friends the chance to dine in? They would be speechless!

Inedible to Incredible premieres Monday, June 21 at 10 p.m. on TLC.
