If you don’t have Showtime, you may want to get it to watch Laura Linney kill it in the new series, The Big C.
The Emmy winner plays Cathy, an uptight teacher who learns she’s suffering from terminal cancer. It’s the incentive she needs to start living life to the fullest.
TV DivaGal loves that Laura, who also serves as one of the show’s executive producers, took her own life by the reigns and decided to shoot the series on TV DivaGal’s turf.
“There is something about filming on the East Coast that was important for me to be a little removed from all of the business,” Laura says.
“I think there’s a depth of field of actors in New York for character parts who have never been seen on television, and that was also interesting to me; a whole generation of theater actors who have never been on screen.”
TV DivaGal love it when an A-lister employs the people in my hood!
Catch The Big C Monday, Aug. 16 at 10:30 p.m. on Showtime.
