SINGLE GAL: Fashion Under the Tents!
By DIVAGALS | February 20, 2014 | Food Fashion Style, Gals On The TownSingle Gal contributor Nicole Ferrell recounts her first Fashion Week scene under the tents at Lincoln Center.
Who doesn’t love hitting the tents during NY Fashion Week? The booths. The lounges. The Clothes! At Nanette Lepore‘s presentation, the queen of girly, showed off amazing dresses, pants and layers for the girl who likes to look stylish any day of the week. The looks were glamour mixed with casual chic, and I absolutely loved it!
Nanette’s daughter Violet, celebrity stylist and fashion queen June Ambrose, and Broadway’s Juliet Condola Rashad sat in the front row. June looked gorge in a long leopard print and floral dress with a leopard print hat, and Condola made a stellar display in a classic black mid-sleeve dress.
When you are waiting for a show to start you hang out in the lounge because you never know who you may run into or what amazing fashions you can see. I ran into pop-punk artist Eryn Woods who was definitely making a fashion statement with her signature pink hair, yellow lips, white spiked biker jacket, cat crop top and a cartoon-themed pencil skirt.
I stopped by the TRESemmé studio to chat with lead designer and hair stylist to the stars Tyler Laswell. He told me a few secrets to healthy hair, which is simple: just condition a lot. I sat in his chair and got my hair touched up.
Tyler is really good with all hair types; it turned out amazing.
While I was leaving I ran into Jerseylicious star Gigi Liscio. She looked gorgeous in a red dress, and she told me she may be returning to reality TV really soon so watch out.
I met a lot of fashionable people during my first fashion week, and I looked good doing it in a long sleeve black high split dress, accessorized with a solid gold belt, hair rope and gold shoes. Can’t wait for the spring fashion shows to get here. I’m ready for some color.
