So You Think You Can Dance: Major Changes!

OMG! TV DivaGal just got off a conference call with SYTYCD executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and he’s turning the series upside down for its seventh season!

The Top 20 is gone in favor of a Top 10 out of Las Vegas. No longer will dancers dance with other contestants. The show’s creating a pool of all-stars from season pasts who will partner with contestants. The style of dance for that performance will be based on the all-star’s key genre.

Each contestant will then be judged on their performances alone, and America will begin voting immediately on who stays and who goes.

Look for Mia Michaels to return as a choreographer, and Mary Murphy to step out of the judge’s chair to whip up a few steps of her own!
