Here’s one good reason for TNT to bring SouthLAnd, which aired its season finale Tuesday night, back for another.
We so want to see detectives Lydia Adams and Russell Clarke take their relationship to the next level, and so does series star Tom Everett Scott!
“I don’t know if that was ever intended, but why not,” Tom told the TV DivaGal last night at the opening night of the Gen Art Film Festival, which will spotlight emerging filmmakers over the next seven days.
Russell, who’s been struggling with his emotions since being shot by a neighbor and left for dead, was finally reunited with Lydia (played by Regina King), and she seemed very pleased to have her former partner back at her side.
So how does Tom think Russell and Lydia would play out as a couple?
“They’d probably make each other laugh, that’s what Regina and I do,” he shared.
“They’re a very sweet couple, and I think over the course of the 13 episodes we’ve done, their relationship has shown more of its chemistry, and thatΓÇÖs why people think they’re going to have a little bit more chemistry.”
We’re so channeling RussLy for season three. TNT, you better bring it!
