Celebrity stylist Hasblady Guzman
Want hair-raising drama tonight? Tune in to Split Ends season finale on Style Network.
Several small town stylists have returned to compete in “The Big Cut-Off,” to find out who gives good cut, on hair and beyond!
“There’s one contestant on meds who says she was pushed,” says celebrity hair stylist Hasblady Guzman, who serves as one of the three judges for tonight’s competition.
“Truth is she’s in seven-inch heels and she fell,” Hasblady continues.
And then there was Hasblady’s own personal drama.
“One of the contestants once eliminated told me I have elephant knees,” she spills.
“On the way out, this contestant came over to me and kept whispering a name over and over. The other judges told me it was the name of a plastic surgeon who specializes in knees!” No he didn’t!
Hasblady been styling hair for 25 years, working on such famous clients like CSI: Miami‘s Eva La Rue and Gerard Butler.
“I tried to get him to wear his hair up, and he did it for a moment, but then it was back down,” she laughs.
In tonight’s competition, Hasblady will be looking for “technical skills,” she says.
“Are they an amazing architect of hair? Do they know their models’ bone structure and address their emotions and expectations?”
Hasblady says the contestants could definitely trim their egos.
“For young stylists today, it’s about money and fame,” she explains.
That comes along, but you have to have the heart of service for your client that will make them feel their best.”
Split Ends, season finale, airs Saturday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. on Style Network.
