What’s going to be the hardest thing about New York City’s Fashion Night Out on Thursday, Sept. 8? Figuring out just which store you’ll hit first!
Here are just a handful of the cool events that will be going on during the night ΓÇô broken up by neighborhood so you can plan your ultimate shopping roadmap!
MIDTOWN MANHATTAN
NOLCHA @ Opia (130 E. 57th St.) 5 p.m.
The independent fashion outlet co-hosts the creations of up-and-coming designers along with The New York Post, Ricardo Ralph Lopez, Farasha Boutique and GlobalFashionBrands.com. Shop sales and new season exclusives; enjoy a beauty bar by Kroma Makeup and KISS Nails along with Do Q Rum passed cocktails.
Banana Republic (Rockefeller Center) 5 p.m.
The midtown store will offer 30 percent markdowns throughout the day and a Happy Hour of markdowns from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., as well as a performance by Britain folk rock band Graffiti6.
Forever 21 (1540 Broadway ) 6 p.m.
Be there by twilight, and catch an in-store appearance with The Twilight SagaΓÇÖs Christian Serratos. Customers who purchase an item from the Divine Rights of Denim collection on FashionΓÇÖs Night Out will receive a free gift and enter for a chance to win an additional Divine Rights of Denim item.
Pamella Roland @ Bergdorf Goodman (754 Fifth Ave.) 7 p.m.
Watch the evening wear designer and her precious pup hit the runway with other top designers in the department store’s 2nd Annual ΓÇ£BG Best in Show.” Guest judges Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa, Santiago Gonzalez, Naeem Khan, and The BagSnobΓÇÖs Tina Craig serve as judges as Alexandra Vidal, Badgley Mischka, Lela Rose, Reem Acra and others join Pamella on the catwalk.
SOHO
Derek Lam (10 Crosby Street) 6 p.m.
The designer partners with Mercedes-Benz to search for the ΓÇ£Crosby GirlΓÇ¥ to go along with the seasonΓÇÖs must-have accessory: the C63 AMG Coupe. Hit the open casting call and see if youΓÇÖre the most awe-inspiring, effortlessly chic, confident, contemporary style setter. Derek Lam, Model Hanne Gaby Odiele and casting director James Scully serve as judges.
Hanky Panky @ BloomingdaleΓÇÖs (504 Broadway) 6 p.m.
Hanky Panky will be customizing thongs and boy-shorts with rhinestones for free with any Hanky Panky purchase.
Via Spiga (487 Broadway) 7 p.m.
Hungry? Via Spiga is scooping out at a Gelato Bar that will offer a unique selection of flavors to customers shopping in-store, along with a free gift with purchase: three custom Essie nail polishes in the Via Spiga Fall color palette (gray, raspberry and mulberry). Can’t make the event? Tracy Reese (641 Hudson St.) 6 p.m.
The girly designer hosts her 2nd annual FNO dance-a-thon, inviting guests to show-off their best moves, in the boutique and even in the storeΓÇÖs windows, with DJ Tyger Lilly spinning tunes all night. Tracy will judge the dance-a-thon and prizes will be awarded to the eveningΓÇÖs best dancers. Guests who spend more than $300 will automatically be entered in a raffle to win a TR FNO prize package.
Diane von Furstenberg (874 Washington St.) 6 p.m.
Catch a performance by R&B sensation Estelle, while sipping on a specialty SVEDKA Vodka cocktail. Also enjoy a flip book photo booth and an exclusive fragrance sampling station.
