The Bachelorette's Ali and Roberto: A Spring/Summer 2011 Wedding!By Delaina Dixon | August 5, 2010 | Entertainment
Lovebirds Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez can finally be out in the open about their love story after Ali’s dramatic choice to put all her roses in one basket and only take Roberto to the final rose ceremony on the season finale of The Bachelorette Monday night.
TV DivaGal got a chance to talk with the deliriously happy couple who are now co-habitating in San Diego. Of course, I asked them when they are actually planning to get hitched.
“It’s so hard to answer that question because, yes, we’ve talked it. We’ve said possible spring or summer of next year,” Ali said, then cautiously added, “but if we say that and then we get really busy, and we don’t get married and ΓÇô people are going to start saying that something’s wrong in our household.”
Busy or not, we’ve got a feeling that Roberto’s parents will be ushering the couple to the altar sooner rather than later.
“Roberto has a big family and his mom told me that he’s thinking along the lines of 700 people at the wedding.,” Ali shared.
Which is why they’re seriously considering to do the big day on TV.
“We’re definitely open to the idea,” Roberto revealed. “The money we can save from that we can use to invest in our lives and life together. It’d be kind of cool just to share that moment with everybody as well and be able have my family there and experience that with us, I think it’s really what’s important to them.”
Awwww, beautiful and smart. What a pair!
While TV DivaGal is pleased that Ali found love with her Bachelor, it does mean that Roberto won’t be the first Bachelor of color on the show, which could finally give the series some much-needed diversity.
Producer Mike Fleiss has stated he wouldn’t put someone as the Bachelor or Bachelorette who hasn’t already appeared on the show, but it’s definitely time to mix things up a bit. Well, a certain TV DivaGal did appear on the E! Special The Bachelor: Then and Now. Does that count, Mike?
