The Best Hidden Gem on Netflix This Week

With hundreds of shows to scroll through on Netflix, Hulu, and every other streaming service at our fingertips, it’s hard to decide which one to click on during our downtime. Beyond the hit shows that take over our explore page, hidden gems are buried beneath the clutter. Luckily, we’ve dug deep to find the best shows you’re probably missing out on.
This week, we’re obsessed with Found, NBC’s crime drama that kept us locked in until the last minute.
Why should you tune in?
The premise is intense: Tough-as-nails crisis manager Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) has a passionate team dedicated to her sole mission of recovering the missing Americans that authorities ignore. Her dedication to the cause runs deep; a former kidnapping victim herself, Gabi pieces together crimes with the help of her own captive, a dangerous man known as Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar).
You may recognize familiar TV icons in the series’ cast, including Shanola Hampton from Shameless, Mark-Paul Gosselaar from Mixed-ish and Saved by the Bell, and Brett Dalton from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. They all bring their leading-role acting chops to their roles to round out a cast with chemistry and a sense of edginess.
The series is an easy weekend watch, with two seasons of captivating action.
Why are we obsessed?
Found is just as timely now as it was when it debuted in 2023 with its spotlight on the all-too-real problem of systemic neglect of kidnapping victims. It’s a fresh crime procedural that feels designed for fans of Law and Order to dive in.
We just can’t help but root for Gabi, a sort of antihero who operates with a murky sense of justice but a heart of gold. The twist and tension between Gabi and Sir kept us on the edge of our seats.
While NBC cancelled Found after airing its second season in 2025, a dedicated group of fans have kept the hope alive for a potential third season to wrap up the loose threads of the show’s agonizing cliffhanger. Nothing has been confirmed, but speculation has been rife after the show found a home on Netflix.
