Subway, the sandwich emporium, will pay Shay $1000 per pound for each one she sheds from her incredibly shrinking 304 lbs. frame between now and the season nine finale of the series!
Subway better get ready to write a whole lot of zeros. Shay has revealed to the TV DivaGal she’s planning to lose enough to become a property owner!
“Being homeless and in foster care going from home to home to home, all I could think about with this opportunity is that I could buy a house,” she spills.
“I can finally have a place of my own with something like this, just by making my life better, so I’ll take it. I’m in two feet forward.”
Of course, Shay will be eating a whole lot of her favorite Subway sandwiches to achieve her goal.
“I get the whole wheat bread and have them scoop out the inside because its less calories. I get double turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers and cucumbers, no mayo, no mustard; a little pepper and balsamic vinegar and avocado. It’s my favorite.” Sounds delish!
Shay’s not predicting a goal number to hit when she takes that scale again at the next The Biggest Loser season finale in May 2010.
“Last time I was under 200 lbs., I was in the fifth grade. For me to think about what that is even like is unfathomable. I can’t even picture it, but I didn’t even picture this, so anything is possible.”
And who wouldn’t want $105,000 or more to put on a down payment? Go, Shay!
