The Celebrity Apprentice: Holly Robinson Peete's Biggest Challenge!
By Delaina Dixon | May 24, 2010 | EntertainmentWas creating a new flavor for Snapple or managing Cyndi Lauper‘s wrath the biggest challenges for The Celebrity Apprentice runner-up Holly Robinson Peete? Nope.
“The toughest challenge was being away from my family,” the mother of four declared on the series’ red carpet last night. “I’ve never been away from my family for all this time.”
Holly revealed on the live finale that her own mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer during the show’s production. She was also the one who told Holly, “you’re staying here,” the 21 Jump Street alum shared.
Going up against Bret Michaels, the rocker who proved he had what it took to make it to the final two even while battling several illnesses in the past month, Holly knew claiming the title was gonna be tough.
“When my own kids are wearing Bret bandanas to the after party, you can’t compete with that,” she said with a laugh. Of course, you can’t be a loser when you’re rocking it in a backless Naeem Khan dress and Miu Miu stilettos. Holla girl!
But this is also the fundraising diva gal who raised $347,000 in one task, the most of any Apprentice player in history! So she wasn’t going home empty-handed. Snapple awarded Holly an additional $250,000 to support her fight against autism under the HollyRod Foundation. Now that is the best stuff on earth!
