In a crowded room, Anime NYC fans were gasping, laughing, and aww-ing with delight at The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity. The exclusive English dub premiere, based on the manga by Saka Mikami, had courted and snatched their heart.

Two schools. The rundown Chidori Public High School and the gated all-girls Kikyo Private Academy. These two schools are not alike in dignity. The delinquent boys of Chidori Public High School live with terrible reputations, while the noble-born girls of Kikyo Private Academy turn their noses up if they happen to be inches away from a Chidori delinquent. The tall and gloomy Rintaro was quite sullen and sick of his poor reputation due to his intimidating demeanor. But then his universe changes when the sweet-toothed Kaoruko interacts with him in his mother’s bakery. To his astonishment, something that speaks miles of his lack of self-esteem, she seemed to have had her eye on him for their conversation. How could this cute girl find him appealing?

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity is very much rom-com fluff. Yes, there is a climax of danger and some blood dripping in the first episode, very much in tune with soap operatic material. When the premiere drops, it will intrigue and entice with how a delinquent teen and a noble girl get together.
