Sure, TV DivaGal loves watching The Next Food Network Star for the dishes and to see who’s going to be the lucky winner who gets his or her own Food Network show.
But here’s another reason to watch: not only will the contestants be cooking up food, they’ll be cooking up some drama this season!
“There are people there who are going for it. They are very strong-willed,” says series judge and SVP of Marketing Susie Fogelson.
“I think the guys are pretty mellow, but with the girls, there will be some personality conflicts, disagreements and injuries.”
Fellow judge and SVP of Production and Programming Bob Tuschman explains why there’s sometimes combustion in the kitchen. “You can not put 10 wannabe stars together in a house and not have fireworks,” he says.
Adds Susie, “Even without cameras, it would happen.” But we’re so glad the cameras are there!
Catch the season six premiere of The Next Food Network Star, Sunday, June 6 at 9 p.m. on Food Network.
