TV Divagal loves a woman who does double duty (and what woman doesn’t?) .
Mindy Kaling does just that on The Office, where she plays Kelly Kapoor and is a writer for the series — That is until girlfriend’s own show gets off the ground!
“It isn’t a mockumentary,” Mindy tells the TV DivaGal of the series she’s currently developing for NBC network.
Though being from Office head writer Greg Daniels’ “school of writing, it will definitely complement,” the tone she reveals.
The series will follow in the footsteps of current NBC sweethearts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and feature women as they juggle a workΓÇôlife balance, which always leads to laughs.
While Mindy’s got the title in mind, “I’m not really superstitious, but I want to hold onto it,” she teases. We hear yah!
What we like best about Mindy’s new series is that she’s totally down with hiring some major cuties to appear on the show.
“Will Arnett would be great,” she shares.
“And I love Ben Affleck, but he’s a movie star,” she says. “I’m sure he has a lot on his plate.”
That’s what guest spots are for, hon!
Catch Mindy tonight on The Office, Thurs. Oct. 29 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
