Sir Ian is working on a new series, The Academy, that’s currently being shopped here and in his native homeland in the U.K.
“It’s an improvised piece where I play the head master of a drama school in London that’s not doing too well,” he tells the TV DivaGal. Sir Ian making up lines on the fly? Priceless!
But it gets even better. In the series, which is being described as a mockumentary, Sir Ian won’t “play myself. I play my twin brother.” Well, if you can’t have the real one, his twin is the next best thing.
Take note, future thespians. Sir Ian’s alter identical ego won’t have any ulterior motives, at least that what he says.
“Not at all,” he replied, adding a devilish grin when I asked if his new role would be sinister.
Sounds like a little of Number Two may be popping up in Sir Ian’s next TV role after all!
Catch The Prisoner, the final night, Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. on AMC.
